JKTF holds meeting, reiterates demand to resolve issues of head teachers | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 3: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) was held under the presidentship of state chairman Ganesh Khajuria here today in the provincial office Gandhi Nagar. The meeting was attended by all the central body members. During the meeting, it was observed that since the inclusion of SSA/RMSA (now SAMAGRA) teachers into state budget much has been talked but very little was done by the government in favour of Head Teachers. The members expressed grave concern over the fact that their salary for the past four months is still pending and the suffering Head Teachers are left high and dry though they have been appointed through the SSRB before the launching of the erstwhile SSA and RMSA schemes. They said that there seems to be no immediate relief as no concrete steps have been taken either by the Governor's Administration or at both the Directorate Level adding that giving false assurances by the higher authorities at the helm of affairs is just like rubbing salt on the wounds. Ganesh Khajuria, chairman JKTF appealed to the Governor's administration, Commissioner Secretary School Education, Director School Education Jammu and Director School Education Kashmir to resolve the chronic issue of Head Teachers by July 5 and prove the competence of their office, which in the present scenario, is under question along being at stake as Teaching community have already started augmenting their aspersions with regard to the credibility and integrity of the officers at the helm of affairs which by sheer dint of negligence has almost proven themselves incompetent. |
