DC chairs DLCCSC meeting, sanctions 54 compensation, relief cases | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 3: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today convened a District Level Coordination Cum Screening Committee meeting to decide over the cases related to militancy and cross- border shelling relief and compensation to the families of the victims in the district. The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Sher Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Sanyal, Assistant Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Ashraf and representatives of Army and paramilitary officers. The meeting sanctioned 54 cases related to militancy and cross-border LoC shelling. The cases which were settled in the DLCCSC included 6 cases of Special Police Officers, who lost their lives while fighting militancy, kin of 19 persons including two women who had been killed by either militants or during cross border LoC firing, dependent of Special Police Officers who died in militancy from 1999-2018, 11 persons whose houses got damaged during the cross border shelling 2018-19, families whose cattle died or injured during the cross border firing. The committee also deferred a few cases for the next meeting due to lack of required formalities with direction to the officials to submit the cases with complete record to avoid delay. |
