Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, July 4: In a clear and brazen violation of Government orders, a KAS officer is adamant of not leaving her place of posting in State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM) under the administrative control of Rural Development Department (RDD) inspite of being transferred by Government almost 3 weeks ago.
Details available with Early Times reveal that Rifat Aftab Qureshi, who was serving as the Additional Mission Director (AMD) J&K State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM) was transferred on June 19th 2019 and was posted as Joint Director in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS &CA) Kashmir.
However, two weeks on sinc, Qureshi is still holding the post of Additional Mission Director SRLM, reliable sources told Early Times
They said that she had not yet joined the new place of posting.
Although Joint Director Handicrafts, Kashmir-whom the General Administration Department (GAD) had assigned the additional charge of the post of Additional Mission Director (AMD) , SRLM, Kashmir for now- has "officially joined, but the lady is not leaving the chair," sources added. The lady KAS officer, sources said, "has told the department that she will get the transfer order revoked by the higher ups in the department".
Sources told Early Times that after she was transferred as Additional Mission Director, SRLM, Kashmir, the officer "sought some time" from the new appointee to the post.
"But, she has not yet left the chair. I don't know why she is doing this as it tantamounts to breaking of rules" a source said.
