RAMBAN, July 5: July 05: The 425th birthday of the sixth Guru, Shri Guru Hargovind Singh was celebrated as Prakash Utsav with religious fervour and traditional gaiety in Ramban district today.
The main function in this regard was held at Gurdwara Singh Sabha,Batote where a large number of Sikh and Hindu devotees paid their obeisance to Guru Ji.
On the occasion,Bhai Tajinder Singh and coterie mesmerized the devotees with their Gurbani Keertan.
Many prominent persons including General Secretary,Ramban District Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee, Janak Singh threw light on the life, sacrifice for society and teachings of Guru Ji. Janak Singh recalled Guru Ji's sacrifice for the suffering masses who were victims of injustice and brutalities of the then Mughal Kings.
At last after the Ardas a langar was served to the devotees. 424 Parkash utsav of Sikh sixth Guru Haragovind ji was celebrated with religious fervor in Kathua Many Sikh Sangat including from other religion throng to Gurudwara Singh Sabha Kathua ,Where the famous Kirtan Ragi from punjab take part in this function which includes Bhai Lakhwinder singh and komaljot singh praise the guru ji legacy while speaking on the ocassion District President District Gurudwara singh sabha Kathua Charnjeet singh said Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was born on June 19th 1595. After the Ardaas Guru Ka Langar will distribute to sangat in Main Hall of the Gurudwara.
