Shopkeepers of Sanjay Nagar, Digiana criticise BJP, Congress

JAMMU, July 9: Up in arms against dilapidated roads in the area, the shopkeepers of Sanjay Nagar and Digaina are fed up with BJP, Congress and want a new face who could successfully represent them. Moreover, they said that no Politicians as well as Government officials visited the area to listen to their problems.
Charan Singh, Karnail Singh, Mohandev Singh, Jank Singh, Ajay Gupta, Sukhbir Singh Bittu, Ishu Choudhary, Shabbi and Lakhbir Singh informed that they have been suffering for last four to five years due to bad roads especially in rainy season.
They also said that locals as well as visitors are facing inconvenience due to bad roads and choked drains, in some cases even leading to accidents but nothing has been done so far.
They also added that the drainage system along the link road is a very big problem faced by the local people.
They alleged that several crores have been withdrawn for maintenance of lanes and drains but nothing has changed on ground. They demanded a probe into embezzlement of funds meant for construction of the said road.
