Nexus with PDP, some BJP leaders trying to sabotage delimitation move
7/9/2019 11:48:06 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 9: By pressurizing central leadership to conduct Assembly elections by the end of this year, a group of BJP leadership in J&K is trying to sabotage the move to set up delimitation commission for redrawing assembly constituencies.
Holding Assembly polls by the end of this year is not possible if government would set up Delimitation panel because the commission has to take at-least six months to submit its report.
Credible sources said despite breaking of alliance in the month of June 2018, a group of BJP leaders are still in touch with PDP leadership and these BJP leaders are desperate for elections.
Credible sources said that it was only due to their nexus with PDP leaders that some of BJP leaders were giving reasons for holding assembly elections as early as possible. "These leaders are very much aware that setting up of delimitation commission and submitting of its report is a time consuming process so they are creating hurdles in this process", sources said and revealed that during visit of party's national general secretary Ram Madhav on Monday such black sheep in BJP again raised the issue of early assembly elections in the State.
