Jammu, July 16: The J&K High Court on Tuesday sought status report within two weeks regarding congesting/widening of Amphalla-Janipur road and Janipur-High Court Road. The order was issued in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Citizens Forum through its president RK Chadha. A division bench of the High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sindhu Sharma after hearing advocate Aditya Sharma for the PIL and AAG Amit Gupta for the State, directed respondents to file status report within two weeks. When the PIL came up for hearing, AAG Amit Gupta submitted that a committee has been constituted by the government as per the court direction and that the status report will be filed. |
