Admission Fee to be received through Online Mode: Prof Dhar

Jammu, July 17: Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu while chairing a meeting of the Deans/Rectors/Directors/Heads of the Departments/ Nodal Departments/members of the JUET Core Committee/Conveners said that the University in its Golden Jubilee Year has adopted the mantra "Embarking towards Excellence" and in that direction various landmark initiatives has been taken to take University of Jammu to new heights. Prof Dhar complimented Prof Keshav Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs for the smooth conduct of the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET-2019) and for providing UG/PG Admission Schedule/Admission Brochure in a stipulated time. Prof Dhar urged upon all Head of Departments to adhere to the norms laid from time to time by the University authorities. Heads of various Departments shall nominate a faculty member to act as Mentor to the new entrants and make them aware about the courses or any related information of Department, said Prof Dhar. Vice-Chancellor said that from the current academic session the University has introduced online payment of fee; therefore Departments should receive prescribed fee(s) only through online mode. Requisite POS machines have been installed in the departments to receive payment through credit/debit cards. Prof Dhar divulged that he has already directed Dean Students Welfare to introduce Help Desk for the new comers so that they are guided appropriately in the University.
Earlier Prof Keshav Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs in his welcome address apprised the HOD's about various contours of the admission process and also requested them to adhere to the admission policy/general guidelines for admission. Prof Sharma stressed that a candidate who does not opt for the self financing seats (S)/ Course(s) at the time of the filling up of the online Admission form with the requisite fee will not be considered for the self financing seat(s) at any stage.
Prof Naresh Padha, Convener, Committee for the assessment in the achievement Categories underlined that the University of Jammu over the period of time has established itself as a brand. Everyone is well versed that University follows the rules with utmost sincerity in a transparent manner. Dr Rainoo Bhai, Assistant Registrar (AA) presented the formal vote of thanks.
