Early Times Report

Poonch, July 20: People of Qasam Nagar and Jabba of Mendhar in Poonch district were shocked to know that the Ayurvedic medicine they had been consuming was expired while they were also duped for the scheme they were eyeing to get 'large benefits'.
Sources said that a shop run with the name 'Smart India Pvt. Ltd.' allegedly used to sell expiry Ayurvedic medicine while the owner had also lured the locals with some bonus scheme. The owner would ask the people to deposit six-thousand five hundred rupees and promised them of 'large benefits' in return. On Saturday morning the people saw the shop closed while the owner had already fled with their money, they said. As the offender is still at large, the police have launched a hunt to nab the culprit, sources said.
Upon informing, a police party headed by SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar and SHO Mendhar Tahir Yousaf Khan visited the spot and recovered a huge consignment of expiry the medicine from the shop.
SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar when contacted by Early Times said: "We have seized the expiry medicines and some documents from the shop".
He said that a case has been registered and further investigations have been initiated.
