As per the details available with "Early Times" the accused MPW Dilshad Ahmed Lone in association with the three beneficiaries with malafide intension release the payments in favour of the beneficiaries despite knowing that they did not construct the house.
The issue comes to the notice of ACD Kishtwar who got the matter verified from the Panchayat sectary who confirm that the three beneficiaries who received the said amount in Bhunzwah block actually did not construct any house and the said accused Dilshad Ahmed release the payments in favour of the co-accused by violating the codal formalities which itself put the question mark on the transparency adopted by the RDD officials while releasing the amount in favour of the beneficiaries who did not deserve and fall within the ambit of the scheme.
"Pending enquiry into the matter, Sh. Dilshad Ahmed (MPW) Marwah is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect. The official shall remain attached in this office during the suspension period" read order No. 48-ACDK of 2019.
Speaking to "Early Times" a senior RDD official said that department should immediately start the recovery of embezzled amount transfer to non deserving beneficiaries; beside the case should be referred to Anti Corruption Bureau for further necessary action under law.
The people told the "Early Times" that the official is involved in other corruption cases as well and also faces trail in some cases in the special court of Anti Corruption Bureau. They said that inquiry against concern Block Development Officer should also need to be initiated as without his involvement, the transfer of the money into the accounts of beneficiaries is not possible beside as an officer BDO concern must have to verify whether the beneficiaries had constructed the houses on ground or they did not construct the same.
