Shamsher lifts Indian Style Wrestling C'ship in Bhaderwah | | | Early Times Report Bhaderwah; July 21: Two days long Indian-style wrestling competition concluded here on Sunday. Wrestling championship was organized by Youth Action Committee Bhaderwah incollaboration with Bhaderwah Development Authority and Jammu and Kashmir Police whose objective is to spread the message of communal harmony and divert the attention of youth towards healthy life style and traditional sporting activities. The championship was begin at Govt Higher Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah on Saturday in which dozen of national wrestlers are participated. Mohd Shamsher from Dinanager of Punjab state lift the Indian Style Wrestling and cash prize of Rs 50,000. Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar Doifode, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti, SDPO Bhaderwah Adil Rishu, SHO Bhaderwah Gurmeet Singh and YAC President Naseer Mehboob Padder and others other dignitaries was present in the event. Sepaking to Early Times, YAC President Naseer Mehboob Padder said that objective of this wrestling competition is to give a strong platform to all wrestlers so that this royal & ancient sport of India doesn't get extinguished. This is an effort to cheer up all wrestlers & to motivate them. |
