Advisors hold meet with prominent members of civil society

Rajouri, Aug 8: Advisor to Governor K Vijay Kumar, K.K.Sharma today visited Rajouri and held a meeting with the prominent civil society of District Rajouri. District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad, DIG Rajouri Poonch-Range Vivek Gupta, Senior Superintendent of Police Yougal Manhas were also present in the meeting.
The members of the civil society who were present on the occasion said that the people of Rajouri have always stood for the country and they believe in maintaining peace, promoting mutual brotherhood and communal harmony in district Rajouri. They highlighted the need for giving relaxation in the curfew, ensuring adequate supply of essential commodities especially in the wake of upcoming festival of Eid Ul Azha.The members also complimented the district Administration in their efforts in seeking public cooperation and in maintaining a spirit of peace in the district.
While replying to the issues raised by the civil society members,the Advisors assured that there is no need to panic and all their genuine demands have been noted and shall be put forth at appropriate forum. They also said that to address local problems the district Administration is empowered to take decision for the greater common good of the people.They also directed the district Administration to ensure the availability of all the essential commodities in the district.They also appealed the public to maintain an environment of peace and extend all possible cooperation to local administration which in turn shall liaise with the public to resolve their issues.
They also took the review regarding the availability of essential commodities in the district like provision of drinking water facilities,power supply,ration.The District Development Commissioner said that he is taking daily stock of the essential services and the district administration is committed to provide all the essential services to the public.
