Prof. Gupta appeals masses to beware of false propaganda
8/9/2019 10:30:26 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 9: The former Union Minister Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has cautioned the people in general and the Governor's dispensation particularly to beware of the malicious propaganda launched by the agents of the controversial and dubious politicians that in the absence of Article 370 and that of 35-A the people from outside the State would come here and occupy their lands as also the business.
He said that in the first instance everybody is the master of each part of the country and under the constitution enjoys equal rights. But it was strange that misnomers are being spread by elements infected by communal virus or trying to create a wedge between the people of different areas and communities. As far as the apprehensions are being spread in the first instance, who would prefer to be in the troubled part of the country as there is vast lands in the rest of India to buy and carry on their activities.
Prof. Gupta further said if such people have not reached in Punjab or elsewhere to dominate the local, what would be the dire need for them to come to this State and dominate the locals. However, he said that if even foreign investment is being invited by the government for industrial growth and trade activities it is strange that fears are being created to mislead the people of the State to check any outside investment for growth of industrial and other sectors without which the State has already come to be most backward resulting unemployment and being converted into a consumer State. Prof. Gupta said that it was intriguing that why such a malicious campaign is being engineered by the dishonest politicians, this is being simultaneously blared by the hostile neighbours, more so, the modern media operating within and across the LoC.
