DC Reasi meets citizens, tourists; appeals not to pay heed to rumours

REASI, Aug 9: Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib, today convened a meeting with the district officers, members of Reasi Municipality, businessmen and political leaders besides eminent citizens to take stock of prevailing scenario in the district.
The DC, while speaking to the gathering, urged upon all to cooperate towards maintaining peace and calm in the district.
The DC informed that all the district offices and banks are operating as usual in the district besides preparations for upcoming Independence Day are being put in place expeditiously.
DC appealed people of the district not to pay heed to any rumour rather seek clarification from the district headquarters regarding any query in this regard.
Those present in the meeting included Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma; SSP Reasi, Rashmi Wazir; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Vivek Puri and President Reasi MC, Sudesh Puri among others.
Later, DC visited Katra town and interacted with the tourists and locals and took stock of the prevailing situation there.
