JU VC releases brochure of Display Your Talent

Jammu, Aug 10: Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu today released 'Rang Trang' the first ever brochure of 'Display Your Talent' (DYT-2019) which is an annual festival of music, dance, theatre, fine arts and literary activities organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu. He complimented Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Jasbir Singh, Campus Cultural Committee and the entire team for bringing out this maiden brochure as part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the University of Jammu. Asserting the benefits of cultural/literary events in the overall development of the students, Prof. Dhar mentioned that 'Display Your Talent' event provides an excellent opportunity for the enterprising students to showcase their talents on a larger canvas by participating in activities like cultural festival of music, dance, theatre, fine-arts and literary sessions. Extra curricular activities form part of the curriculum in educational institutions as these help students to develop and use their skills in a productive manner. Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare informed that that this year, 'Display Your Talent' is commencing on 13th of September, 2019 and this booklet will provide all the details regarding the events, dates, rules and regulations for the convenience of the participants. Prof. Anupama Vohra Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Dr. B.K. Bajaj, Associate Dean SW, Dr. Anil Gupta, Assistant Dean (SW), Dr. Garima Gupta, Assistant Dean (SW). Mansi Mantoo, Media Officer, Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor and Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer were also present on the occasion.
