JKPCC hails CWC decision of appointing Sonia Gandhi as interim Chief

Jammu, Aug 12: Taking over of the reins of the party by Sonia Gandhi has been welcomed by the party cadres in the state. Top leaders of the party who met here today under the leadership of PCC President Ghulam Ahmed Mir hailed the unanimous decision of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) to appoint Sonia Gandhi as interim Chief of the party, at this crucial period when the democratic values & traditions are under threat. Gandhi has successfully led the party for around two decades and enjoys the faith of cadre throughout country.
The meeting also appreciated Rahul Gandhi for providing a bold leadership to the party at difficult times. The entire rank and file is behind Rahul Gandhi but he choose to step down taking moral responsibility of the performance of the party. However, Rahul Gandhi would continue to provide the guidance and leadership to the party to face the challenges before the party and the nation.
The leaders who attended include Madan Lal Sharma, Tara Chand, Mula Ram, Th. Balwan Singh, Ashok Sharma, Ravinder Sharma, Th. Manmohan Singh, Rajnish Sharma,Th. Balbir Singh, Manjit Singh, Shah Mohd Choudhary and K.K. Pangotra (Advocate).
