Div Com reviews arrangements for Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 14: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma, reviewed the arrangements put in place for smooth celebration of Independence Day in the districts of Jammu division in a meeting of Deputy Commissioners, here today. Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division informed the Divisional Commissioner that the arrangements for Independence Day are in place in their respective districts. Besides, the administration has ensured adequate arrangements for celebration of the national event at Tehsil, Block and Panchayat level, they added. The Div Com stressed upon strong coordination and better security arrangements for ensuing smooth celebration of Independence Day in all districts of the Division. Meanwhile, the Div Com reviewed the status of supply of essentials in the districts.
The DCs informed that sufficient stock of essentials is available in their respective districts.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chouhan, Commissioner JMC, Director Health Services, Directors of FCS&CA, Urban Local Bodies, Rural Development, Chief Engineers of PDD, PWD, PHE and other concerned officers while Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division attended the meeting through video conferencing.
