sunderbani, Aug 21: With the casual approach of the Power Development Department Sunderbani, the residents of Ashram road near tehsil Sunderbani of district Rajouri particularly the business establishments have been facing huge difficulty as the power supply is snapped for the last 10 days.
Sources told Early Times that the power supply is snapped due to electric poles were damaged but department didn't take any action to restore the supply even after the lapse of the ten days. "We approached the concerned AEE, JE at their office and narrated the problems and requested them to take prompt action to restore the power supply due to which our business is suffering huge financial loss," said a local businessman Pardeep Kumar.
He said few days ago, a deputation of business owners of the market and the residents called on AEE, JE of Sub Division Sunderbani and informed them of their problems but shockingly officials expressed their helplessness due to shortage of labours to erect poles.
"After sensing the nonchalant attitude of the PDD, the residents and shopkeepers collected money from our pocket to engage labours for erecting electric poles but now the work of laying down cable wires on these poles is yet to be done but again the department is showing reluctance to do this job," he maintained. He appealed to the Chief Engineer PDD Jammu to look into matter and demanded action against the officials who remained irresponsive towards this grave problem.
