IGP Jammu reviews security scenario on the eve of Janamashtami

Jammu, August 22nd: Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone Jammu Mukesh Singh –IPS chairs a meeting of Jammu based Police officers at Police Control Room, Jammu here today in order to review the law and order and security scenario of Jammu division in general and arrangement for Janamashtami in particular.
DIG Jammu Vivek Gupta –IPS, briefed the IGP about various arrangements being made by Jammu Police to strengthen the law and Order and security grid in the backdrop of forthcoming Janamashtami festival/Shoba-Yatra. He said that all necessary arrangements have been made and the concerned field Officers and Units stand thoroughly briefed and sensitized.
He appreciated the efforts made by police in maintenance of Law and order in Jammu Division. He also advised the participants to put in their best for ensuring adequate security and law and order arrangements on the eve of Shoba –Yatra/ Janashtami.
The meeting was attended by DIG JK Range Vivek Gupta -IPS, SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh-IPS, SSP PCR Jammu Kulbir Singh, S.O to IGP Jammu Zone, Rajesh Sharma and SSP APCR Jammu Ramesh Kotwal besides territorial SsP of Jammu District and all SDPO’s.
