Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 27: Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a case against Mohammad Murtaza Khan, then Patwari Halqa Timbra Haveli on corruption charges on Tuesday. Anti-Corruption Bureau registered a formal case against Mohammad Murtaza Khan, resident of Potha, Tehsil Surankote vide FIR no. 01/2019 under section 5(1) (d) r/w 5 (2) and 4-A of J&K P C Act Samvat 2006 on 26.08.2019. The instant case was registered on the basis of an enquiry on the complaint lodged by Mohammad Iqbal son of Ibrahim resident of Timbra, Tehsil Haveli, Poonch against the above mentioned accused with the allegation that then Patwari had demanded and accepted an amount of Rs.10,000/- as bribe from the complainant as illegal gratification in connection with a revenue report regarding demarcation of his land at Timbra, Mandi District Poonch, which was required in the investigation of the case registered at Police Station Mandi. On the prima facie establishment of the allegations, a formal case has been registered against Mohammad Murtaza Khan, then Patwari Halqa Timbra Haveli in Police Station ACB Rajouri and investigations taken up. |
