International Art exhibition of B&W Drawings inaugurated

Jammu, Aug 27: An International Art Exhibition of Black & White Drawings and prints, organized by three organizations of the country viz. Verman Cultural Celebrations, Jammu, Smd Foundation Guwahati and ArtFort India, Chandigarh and dedicated to Late (Smt.) Gobind Kaur, the 1st Contemporary Woman Sculptor of J&K State was inaugurated by Chandigarh based senior artist Prabhinder Lall, Senior Fellowship holder, at the Master Sansar Chand Art Gallery of Kala Kendra, Jammu today.
Prof. Renu Nanda, Dean Faculty of Education and social & Cultural activist and Rajinder Tiku were the guests of honour whereas Dr. Tarun Singh, Superindent Ayurvedic Hospital & social worker presided the inaural ceremony function. JANG s. Verman shared the dais. A large number of intellectuals, writers, theatre artsts and art community was present in the programme. Speaking on thi occasion, Dr. Tarun Singh appreciated the efforts of Verman and associates to arrange an International Art Exhibition of Drawings at Kala Kendra, Jammu in the memory of Smt. Gobind Kaur, a leading contemporary sculptor of the state.
Prof. Renu Nanda recreated the working of Smt. Gobind Kaur, her style of working and her association with Smt. Gobind Kaur.
The art works of artists of four countries are on display in the show curated by Jang S. Verman, a senior artist from Jammu.
The participating artists in the specially designed art exhibition of B&W Drawings and prints in miniature format include Simone Noseda (Italy); Keziban Ertugrul Yildirim (Turkey); Monisa Saha (Bangladesh); Mintu Deka, Meenakshi Bargohain and Bandana Nath (Assam); Prabhinder Lall, Manmadha Rao, Neeti Joshi, Perminder Kaur and Pardeep Verma (Chandigarh); Raghu Neware, Vaishali Pakhale and Vandana Prihagya (Nagpur); Shyam Sharma (Ghaziabad); Sankari Mitra (Kolkata); Dr. Nisha Soni (Kota); Neelu Kanwaria (Jaipur); Nijeena Neelambaram (Kerala); Bharti Sharma and Nishi Nitya - new delhi (New Delhi); Dr. Suneet Madan (Mohali); Rashmita Kanojia (Ambala); Arvind Sharma (Karnal); Mukesh K. Zile Singh (Kaithal); Lee Za (Patiala); Riya Abrol (Chamba); Harpreet Kaur (Jalandhar) and Shivani Singla (Ludhiana), Senior artists Jang S Verman and Kamalnain Bhan as well as the young artists of J&K State viz. Renu Bala, Shivali Jamwal, Saurav Kumar, Payal Aggarwal, Vijay Singh and Bharati Rajput (Jammu).
