DDC inspects dev works in block Panchari

Udhampur, Aug 28: To inspect the status and progress of developmental works being executed by different departments, the District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla conducted an extensive tour of remote and hilly block Panchari here today.
Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan,DIO,Er Sajad Somberia, Chief Horticulture Officer, Brij Vallabh Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra, Executive Engineer PMGSY Reasi, XEn PDD, Rajinder Gupta, XEn PHE, Ajay Gupta and other officers of various departments also accompanied him during the tour.
Enroute, the DDC inspected the progress Supply Morh to Kainth Gali, Kainth Gali to Malti , Gandala to Tirchi PMGSY roads. He issued on the spot instructions to officers of concerned department for completion of ongoing works at stipulated time frame without compromising on the quality. He directed for blacklisting of contractors not adhering to timeline.
Several deputations comprising of Sarpanchs, Panchs besides general public of the area met with DDC during his visit and put forth various problems and demands pertaining to paucity of drinking water, Uninterrupted electricity supply, Lack of staff in Government schools and heath institutions, Dilapidated conditions of various roads.
The DDC assured the people of all possible measures from the district administration in resolution of grievances.
On complain of delay in completion of PMGSY road at Panchayat Tirchi, the DDC asked the concerned department to blacklist the contractors not adhering to the timeline. PMGSY Authorities apprised DDC that supply Morh to Kainthgali road will be completed by April 2020. DDC also inspected the ongoing works of Tourism Department at Panchari. He also inspected Orchard at Meer Panchayat and asked CHO to extend technical support to all farmers to enhance their income.
Later, DDC inspected the Tehsil Office and PHC Panchari, reviewed their functioning and got feedback from concerned staff about the health issues in the area. He asked BMO Panchari to cover all identified beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat on priority.
