Why is Imran wailing and Weeping
Omkar Dattatray8/28/2019 10:25:05 PM
One is at a loss to understand the uneasiness of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on scrapping of the most controversial article 370 of the Indian Constitution as well as article 35 (A) by the Indian Government. These articles were temporary and repealing of these by the legitimate way and by following constitutional procedures has irked the Pak Prime Minister and he has sleepless nights ever since the Union Government scrapped these controversial and discriminating provisions which has caused much loss to Indian state as well as to Jammu and Kashmir. Thank God that finally sense has prevailed upon the Union Government and the Modi- Shah duo have scrapped these articles in the interest of the nation. Besides scrapping of these articles the bill to bifurcate the state of J&K in two Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh has been passed by both houses of parliament and got ascent of the President. Doing away with these articles which give special status and position to J&K is rightly the domain and jurisdiction of the Union Government and the Central Parliament has adopted the resolution to repeal article 370 and article 35 (A) of the Indian Constitution on fifth of August 2019 and it has got the assent of the president as well. This is the internal matter of India as a sovereign state and no outside power has any local standi on it and more so our neighbour Pakistan. However , it is very disturbing and unfortunate that Pak PM Imran Khan is upset over the stripping of the state of J&K of its special provision and status. Repealing of the article 370 and as a consequence article 35 (A) has got no international ramifications as it is solely and purely an internal matter of India. But Pak PM is upset over the repealing of article 370 and 35 (A) and he is wailing, weeping and beating his chest. Imran is weeping before the international community but he has only got rebuke from the world leaders. He complained about the revoking of article 370 and 35 (A) before the UNSC but got rebuke and humiliation in return and the world body is of the view that it is the internal matter of India. Similarly UK, Russia, America and even Bangladesh, Nepal and Muslim Countries has asked Imran Khan not to cross limits and remain calm because according to them abrogation of article 370 and article 35 (A) is the internal issue of India. Leave alone China, all world powers and leaders have rebuked Pakistan PM not to interfere in the internal matters of India. It is strange enough that even after international slap, Pak Premier is now planning to approach International Court of Justice ICJ and complain to it about the abrogation of article 370, and 35 (A). However in the ICJ, Pak PM will be humiliated as there is every likelihood that the top court of world will not entertain the plea of Imran Khan. It is better for the Pak PM to concentrate on his domestic matters and on his economy which is at its lowest ebb. It is only for diverting the attention of his people from the pressing problems of his country that Pak PM is resorting to unnecessary raising of the issue of scrapping of article 370 and 35 (A) which is none of his business. Repealing of article 370 and 35 (A) is an internal arrangement and the Indian parliament and the Union Government is authorized and empowered to repeal article 370 and 30 (A). But scrapping of these controversial articles has irked Pak PM and he is shedding crocodile tears for the kashmiris knowing well that it is the internal matter of India. Pak PM by taking this matter to UNSC and other world leaders has only earned him international rebuke. It is better for him to pay heed to his domestic problems and his sagging economy. Every one knows it well that Pakistan goes with begging bowl to America and its economic condition is a matter of grave concern. But instead of taking steps to accelerate the economic tempo of his country, he is only meddling with the internal affairs of India and in doing this he has been slapped by the international community. Having failed to generate sympathy for Pakistan, he is now thinking to take the matter of scrapping of the controversial and temporary article 370 and 35 (A) by the Indian Government to ICJ and there also he will only earn rebuke and nothing else. In repealing of the temporary provisions of article 370 and 35 (A) India has not transgressed its borders and has not crossed the line of control or international border. India is only managing the affairs of its state and has not made any aggression on Pakistan or POK but that country's PM Imran Khan is nerved by the happenings in India and India's scrapping of article 370 and 35 (A) which are in fact India's domain and jurisdiction. By scrapping these articles India has not transgressed its boundaries and then why is Pak PM weeping, wailing and beating his chest. This wail and weep will not earn sympathy of the international community and Pak PM is likely to be snubbed by the world community . The Pak PM should desist from meddling into the affairs of India if he wants to improve the bilateral relations with India. Rest article 370 and article 35 (A) is now history.
