Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 29: Former president of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Rahul Gandhi has been left red faced, as Pakistan Minister quoting him to target the government of India.
Pakistan Minister, Shireen Niazi has complaint to the United Nation that main stream politician in India like Rahul Gandhi has acknowledged that "there are report of violence and people dying in Kashmir". Sensing that his remarks have not gone well Rahul Gandhi took the twitter and said that he may disagree with GoI, but as far as Kashmir is concern it is our internal issue.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Rahul has been caught on wrong foot, because he spreads fake news about violence and killings in Kashmir. Senior congress leader spreading fake news is unacceptable. Freedom of expression can't be used to spread the fake news."
He said that the Rahul Gandhi saying "death, murder and violence" fired the hornet-nest else the people managing the Kashmir asked Rahul to substantiate his claims. "But Rahul has no answer and he was left with no any other option, other than to back-track", he analyst added.
He said, "According to Jammu and Kashmir Police a truck driver was killed, when stone hit him in South Kashmir's Bijbehara area, while a woman and teenage boy injured in stone pelting incident in Hawal area of Srinagar old city. Militants abducted and killed two nomads in South Kashmir's Tral area", the analyst said.
The analyst said that since 5 August the security forces had exercised utmost restrain and no civilian killing has been taken place. "Nothing happening in Kashmir, has frustrated Pakistani leaders, who are now using the statement of Indians leaders to carry forward the false propaganda. A politician said the Congress leader in order to score brownie points, has been issuing irresponsible statements. Before opening their mouths they should take the facts. They are not doing any favour to country by issuing such statements, which have no base. They are losing their credibility by doing so", the politician added.
He said, "The Congress suffering a humiliating defeat in the 2019 Lak Sabha polls has left the party leadership issueless. The Congress leaders need to put their act together and gauge the mood of country. Indulging in mere rhetoric won't help its cause", the politician said, adding that after noise about Kashmir Rahul has realised that the statement has gone against the national interests and people have become angry. He has gone into damage control mode and has taken a U-turn, but it is high for Congress leaders to realise the party is paying the heavy prize for childish act of Rahul Gandhi."
