Yudhvir Sethi reviews preparedness of historic Dewan Mandir Ramlila

Jammu, Sep 1: Chairman, Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj, Dewan Mandir and BJP general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi today reviewed preparedness for annual historic Ramlila and performed rituals for beginning of rehearsal in presence of artists and executive members of management of the Natak Samaj here today.
Expressing his satisfaction over the preparations, he encouraged artists to perform still better for which every support is being extended by the management. Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj, Dewan Mandir has decided to celebrate Ramleela with religious fervor as ever. He said that eight days' long Ramleela would conclude on Dussehara.
During Navratras number of National and International level artists and singers will participate, act and sing on the stage to depict various chapters and characters of Ramayana. He said it's been 155 years since Ramlila is being staged at Dewan Mandir regularly. He urged people to come in large number and be part of this history that connects everyone with religious and cultural ethos of our past. Several artists, he said had been performing here since decades and have perfected the art in such a way that people from different areas of Jammu come to witness this Ramlila. Yudhvir Sethi added that over a period of time stage at Dewan Mandir has been modified and seperate dressing rooms added for artists. More development is still going on with sole aim of making this a unique place to perform. He said that costumes, scripts, sets and bhajans by renowned artists draw huge crowds to the place which is worth a watch.
