"Congress should tame Digvijay": Raman Suri | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 1: Condemning senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijaya Singh for his statement that BJP and Bajrang Dal are getting money from Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), BJP Member State Executive Committee Raman Suri said that a senior leader like him should be ashamed of the fact that Pakistan, in its letter, has referred name of Rahul Gandhi for criticising abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status. Raman Suri said that instead of being apologetic for its shameful reference in Pakistan petitions, Congress is using such words against RSS who has a history of sacrifices. It was because of the sacrifice of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee that Article 370 is gone today. Since he was eight at the very onset such a controversial act stands abolished. Contrarily, Pakistan is naming Rahul Gandhi for scrapping of Article 370. His such statements are not only being praised in Pakistan but also pressed against India which should shame Congress. Raman Suri said that Digvijay Singh is habitual of such shameful acts and statements. It was in 1998 when he was CM that 25 farmers were killed by police right under his nose. It was the same Digvijay Singh who had described killing of 2011 Batla House militants as fake and way back in 2013 misbehaved by describing Meenakshi Natarajan, a female Congress MP from Mandsaur, as "sautunchmaal" . Such a characterless and shameless, besides irresponsible leader, should be tamed by Congress who had even gone to the extent of criticising the United States in 2011 for not respecting Osama bin Laden's religion when it buried him at sea, saying "however big a criminal one might be, his religious traditions should be respected while burying him." Today when he said that Non-Muslims are spying for Pakistan's ISI more than Muslims, he must come out with names of those whom he was referring to. A traitor, be it Muslim or of any other community can't be spared but Digvijay sees religion in this as well. |
