Teacher jumped in Chinab, rescued | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 1: A 50 years old government teacher tried to end his life by jumping in Chenab River this after-noon, but alert patrolling team from Akhnoor Police Station saved his life. According to sources a 50 years old a government teacher (name withheld), a resident of Roop Nagar Jammu jumped from new bridge in Akhnoor. "A patrolling team from Ahknoor police station spoted him started a rescue, with the help of local diver Davinder Kumar son of Kewal Krishan, who jumped from Jiopota Temple into the river rescued the man from Bratamandi area of Akhnoor", said a police officer, adding that the police rushed the man to Ahknoor hospital immediately after his rescue. "After his check and first aid at the Hospital, a case under section 309-RPC has been registered against the said person", he added. |
