Muhammad Latif, Joint Director School Education Jammu ( Samba-kathua range) today paid a surprise visit to many schools of the area, during the monthly mega parent teacher meeting, on the directions of Director School Education Jammu Ms. Anuradha Gupta.
Joint Director School Education Jammu, Mr. Muhammad Latif, accompanied by Mr. B D Sharma, District Planning Officer ( Education) and a team of other officials, on saturday, visited many schools including Higher Secondary School Vijaypur, Higher Secondary School Gho Bhramna, Higher Secondary School Nandpur, High School Swankha, Middle School Rarian, High School Channi Manhasan, and Middle School kalah. The surprise visit , on the directions Of Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu, was intended to evaluate the implementation of newly started Parent Teacher Meeting ( PTM) programme.
Mr. Latif met students, their parents, teachers and other staff members of the schools and tried to ascertain the success, shortcomings and other aspects of the scheme that need improvement.
It is pertinent to mention here that the newly started monthly parent - teacher meeting is one of the many initiatives including 'AAO BAAT KAREIN', ' HOUSE SYSTEM' etc., started by the directorate of education to improve the standard and quality of education being provided in government schools. The initiative envisions meeting of parents and teachers on 26th of every month to discuss the education graph and other aspects of students as well as school.
Mr. Latif congratulated the students, parents and staff members of the schools he visited for successfully holding the Mega Parent Teacher Meetings and contributing towards upliftment of education standards.
