Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 16: The presence of former legislator from district Kathua in a function organized at the site of Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua, has raised many eyebrows with speculations of returning to party fold are rife.
The eyewitnesses present in the GMC's Kathua function where MOS Dr. Jatinder Singh, Governor of state SP Malik were present, informed that a formal invitation was extended to all the prominent faces of the area including all the former legislators.
"Though the former legislator in question, usually ignore such invitations and had also estranged from the BJP. His relations with the party turned sour after his open revolt against the party leaders and had unsuccessfully contested the parliamentary elections against BJP leader", sources said, adding that following the announcement of revocation of Article-370, the legislator had expressed some reservations, due to which he was put under house arrest.
Sources further disclosed that in the last few months, district administration Kathua had taken some actions against the brother of legislator and recently five shops constructed over a piece of encroached land were retrieved by the administration.
"Five shops were razed to ground by district administration Kathua and there are also reports that many other portions of land, which is under possession of the legislator and his family members, is actually encroached land", sources said, adding that though the legislator has been trying to avert the ire of district administration over his misdeeds and with such aim, he had reportedly attended the function.
Sources further disclosed that after parted ways with the BJP, the legislator has been finding it hard to regain his lost ground. The only option left for the legislator is to return back into party fold, sources said, adding that but as per insiders, many in the party are not willing to take him back to party fold but legislator is trying hard.
