RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 18: Over a thousand students today participated in a rally at Nowshera town to spread the message of Swachhta hi Sewa and create mass awareness about ill-effects of indiscriminate use of plastic.
The rally was flagged off by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sukhdev Singh Samyal in presence of Tehsildar, Babu Ram, Principals of Boys Higher secondary and Girls Higher secondary and president and councillors of municipal committee Nowshera.
The students displayed banners, held placards that carried a green message and chanted slogans against the use of single use plastic.
Students pledged to refrain from usage of plastic and convince their family & friends for the same to create environmental responsibility. During the rally the polythene bags were also replaced by the jute bags from the consumers.
