Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 18: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta on Wednesday asked people to arise and play a proactive role in putting Jammu on path of long due development. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in old Satwari Jammu cantt., Munish said, "People are the torch bearers of any society and they have to lead from the front to get their rights which unfortunately remained out of their reach during all these years largely due to the failed politicians."
He said, "The politicians who ruled J&K during the last more than seventy years remained busy in reaping the fruits of past and in the process ignored the crucial issues concerning people."
"We have to come together to ignite minds so that new opportunities and avenues could be explored in order to build a new Jammu after reorganization of J&K", said Munish, who would be contesting forthcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
Munish said that during his mass contact programme he has met hundreds of people, who wants to see a prosper and developed Jammu, however, their aspirations couldn't be realized so far due to short-sightedness of public representatives chosen by them from time to time. "Time has come that people need to hand over the baton of responsibility to candidates having fresh ideas and commitment to serve them," he said
"If I win elections, I will try my best to ensure that the people get what they really deserve," he added.
