Jammu, Sept 18: Keeping in view of ongoing situation that has arosed in wake of aftermath of weapon snatching and hostage crisis at PDP leader residence that lead to the District Administration today issued formal advisory to schools and colleges not to allow the students to leave the institution in case similar situation has arisen that will force the administration to impose Curfew added that it will be the responsibility of the District Administration to drop and felicitate the safe passage to school and college students upto home.
As per the details available with Early Times, the decision to issue the advisory by the District Administration comes in wake of day to day conduct of Search and cordon operation in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas on the basis of the inputs about the movement of the Militants in specified areas that can potentially lead to possible encounter or curfew.
In similar situation, the massive search and cordon operation was today launched in Poochal and it's adjoining Bindraband areas by the security forces which lasted for several hours and still continues when last report came in.
The formal advisory order was issued by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana stating that in case of imposition of day curfew due to any unwarranted incident , the school/ college authorities shall keep all the pupil/students/ inside the school premises and must not allow /permit any school children/student to go outside school premises besides educational authorities were directed to keep close liaison with the district administration for ensuring safe passage/arrival of students to their homes/destination.
The order reads that in the recent past due to occurance of militancy related incidents which happened in day time, as a precautionary measure immediately day curfew was imposed which resulted into a lot of panic and chaos among general public particularly the students and parents.
Not only heavy traffic jams are seen but a lot of hue and cry is also seen at every nook and corner particulary in and around the schools and colleges during such situations.
Besides, it has also seen that in such situations school authorities also loose their calm and patience and do send the children to their homes in an inordinate and haste manner which is likely to cause injury to the students.
The order further reads that any deviation found on the part of any of the school / college authorities shall invite strict disciplinary action against the defaulter school/college authorities.
Further, Addl. District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar was asked to constitute an Emergency Control Cell (ECC ) at district level exclusively to deal such situation and provide the detailed particulars and contact numbers of all members of ECC to schools, colleges.
