SC stays appointments of KCS | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 20: In a petition filed by Surekha Bhat challenging the selection list of 40 Munsiffs issued by J&K Public Service Commission (PSC), a Bench of Supreme Court of India comprising Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice KM Joseph stayed the appointments and gave direction in this regard to Government of J&K. Supreme Court observed after hearing arguments that there seems change of game in between the process of selection of Civil Judge (Junior) and several times consideration zone has been changed in violation of rules. J&K PSC has been directed to file reply with affidavit and to produce entire result record etc. before the Supreme Court. It is worthwhile to mention here that on August 22, 2019, PSC has issued the selection list of 40 candidates who have qualified the mains. (JNF) |
