| Div Com reviews land acquisition for dev projects | | |

JAMMU, Sept 23: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma today to reviewed the progress of land acquisition for roads and other development projects, here at meeting with concerned officers.
The meeting was attended by Director Defence Estate, Parshotam Lal, Chief Engineer PMGSY, Des Raj, ADC Ramban, Dr Basharat Hussain besides senior functionaries of PWD, Army Officers and other concerned while Deputy Commissioner Rajouri along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing. The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri informed the Div Com about the present status of land acquisition cases in the district. It was informed that final award has been issued in most of the cases, while the process for remaining cases is in progress.
It was further informed that some cases are pending due to change of alignment of roads. The Div Com asked the engineers to expedite the re-alignment to facilitate speedy land acquisition. He also directed for early disbursement of land compensation to the concerned land holders.
The Div Com sought case wise details of land acquisition cases of roads and other development projects and asked the concerned officers to resolve the bottlenecks and issue final awards at the earliest and send the cases to his office for further action. |
