BJP's Jan Jagran Abhiyan on Abrogation of Article 370 continues
10/6/2019 9:59:44 PM
JAMMU, Oct 6: In continuation to the series of BJP's Jan Jagran Abhiyan on Abrogation of Article 370 at District Level, BJP Mahila Morcha, J&K, State President Mahila Morcha Rajni Sethi was on two day's visit to Basohli and Kathua Districts to attend Mahila Swabhimaan Sammellan along with State General Secretary Updesh Andotra and Prabhari Basohli Arti Jasrotia .
Rajni Sethi said that Article 370 was responsible for present situation in Kashmir Valley and it was anti women, anti development and anti human rights.
Sethi added that the Article has only worked against democracy and welfare of women of Jammu And Kashmir and the womenfolk were not getting due rights due to the Article 370 and 35A.
She said that after the Narendra Modi Government's bold decision on J&K, women would no longer be deprived of their property rights if they get married to an outsider. Article 35A, which emanated from Article 370, prohibited them to be owners of property if they marry an outsider.
She said that today women folk from Kashmir, Jammu, Ladakh are lavishing praises on Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for the abrogation of controversial articles which will now protect the human rights of the women living in J&K and help them lead a dignified life as promised by the Indian Constitution.
She said the controversial articles took the State from separatist tendencies to separatism and were the base of terrorism in the Valley. The Article 370 benefitted the two dynasties of the Valley only and not the common Kashmiris who also suffered on account of it.
Sethi said due to the strong leadership at Centre under Prime Minister Narender Modi, we have achieved the goal "Ek Vidhan -Ek Nishan.
