PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana: Rajouri admin to hold special camps for registration

Rajouri, Oct 12: District administration Rajouri is going to organize special camps at Panchayat level for registration of eligible farmers under PM Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana (PMKMDY).
The camps will be held to cover maximum number of eligible farmers under the scheme, District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad said while chairing a meeting to review the achievements under PM-KISAN. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Sambayal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalakote Ram Krishan, chief planning officer Shama-Un Ahmed,Subdivisional magistrate Thanamandi, Tanveer Ahmed, Chief Agriculture officer, Janak Raj, Chief horticulture officer Rakesh Kotewal, Horticulture Development Officers and Sub divisional Agriculture officers.
PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana a centrally sponsored pension scheme has been launched to secure the lives of almost 05 crore small and marginal farmers in the country. Marginal and small farmers under the age group of 18-40 need to contribute monthly amount of Rs.55-200 with same amount to be contributed by the centre and after attaining the age of 60 years, they would get a pension of Rs.3000 per month. The DDC took a detailed stock of the progress in all the five subdivisions of the district with respect to the coverage of small and marginal families under the scheme.
The Sub-divisional agricultural officers gave a detailed account of the progress achieved so far.
The DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure that no eligible farmer in the district is left out of the benefit of these agricultural schemes. He asked the concerned officers from agriculture and horticulture departments to make a schedule for the conduct of awareness camps at village and panchayat levels and encourage the so that small and marginal farmers can avail the benefit of this scheme.
