Over 100 ambulance services going to be commenced soon: MD NHM | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 12: The long awaited 102-108 ambulance services is soon going to be started in Jammu and Kashmir, which has been pending from last several years due to one or the other reasons. Bhupinder Kumar, Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K said that for the operationalisation & roll out of 102-108 ambulance services in Jammu & Kashmir including Ladakh region preparations are going on war footing basis. He said that his team under guidance of K. Vijay Kumar, Advisor to Governor J&K & Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner to Govt., Health & Medical Education are leaving no stone un turned for roll out of this prestigious initiative within a month's time. Mission Director, NHM said that the service shall be a boon for general public and will be game changer in the delivery of public health care services to the patients and the community at their door steps. He said that services shall benefit the pregnant women, critical medical emergencies and road traffic accident victims which are happening frequently due to poor condition of roads and topography. This will in turn help in saving precious human lives by prompt treatment of the road traffic accident victims & other medical emergencies during the golden hour. He said that rolling out of 102-108 ambulance services is one of the key priority of the administration and has already been approved by the State Administrative Council (SAC) under the chairmanship of Satya Pal Malik, Governor of J&K. |
