UDHAMPUR, Nov 4: Police recovered 15kg of charas at Jakhani Chowk, NHW, Udhampur from two narcotic smugglers, who have been arrested.
Giving details, Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said that a police party of Police Station (PS) Udhampur led by Insp Vijay Singh Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Dr Rohit Chadgal DySP Hqrs Udhampur and Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl SP Udhampur was conducting surprise checking of vehicles on NHW at Jakhani Chowk, Udhampur. During naka checking, police party intercepted one Innova bearing registration no JK01T 8754 for searches. During thorough search of said vehicle, 15kg of charas was recovered from the possession of two narcotic smugglers namely Bilal Ahmed son of Ghulam Mahi ul Din and Rahil Aziz son of Abdul Aziz, both residents of Hazrathbal, Srinagar, who were arrested on spot and charas seized. In this connection, a Case FIR No 524/19 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case was going on. |
