Shiv Sena appeals LG to pay fee for pilgrims of Kartarpur Corridor

Jammu, Nov 5: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray, leaders of Jammu and Kashmir unit appealed the government to pay the fee of $ 20 imposed by Pakistan on the pilgrims going through the Kartarpur corridor to visit their holy places in Pakistan.
Party President, J&K, Manish Sahni told that the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir should take initiative to give relief to the pilgrims from the payment of this fee. When the Centre can provide subsidy for the Haj pilgrimage, the Sikh and Hindu Sangat should also be given relief by the Government of India to go on pilgrimage. After Punjab, the most Sikh Sangat from Jammu and Kashmir goes on a pilgrimage to Gurdwara Sahib in Pakistan.
He said that the Sikh community has always made sacrifices in the name of humanity, the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh and his entire family to save Hinduism can never be forgotten. Not only has this, in 1958 Sikh brothers also stood in the front to save the Ram Lala Mandir in Ayodya. He said that there is a lot of grudge in the whole world about this jiziya of Pakistan government. He alos said that he sincerely hopes that the Lieutenant Governor will take the initiative to give relief to the pilgrims from the declaration of payment of this fee.
On this occasion president Mahila wing Meenakshi Chibber , working president Ashwani Gupta, Secretary Raj Singh, Balwant Singh, Sr Vice president Surjeet Singh, Sanjeev Kohli, Youth leader Vishal Kohli, Akshit Talwar, Pankaj Raju Salaria, Sanjeev Soodan, Mangu Ran, Bhuri Singh, Rajesh Handa, Parveen Gupta, Legal advisor advocate Sanjeev Sareen and many others were present.
