| Sport Climbing competition on Nov 16th | | |

Jammu, Nov 7: The first Sport Climbing Competition of Union Territory of J&K shall be organized by Mountaineering Association of J&K on Saturday, 16th November, 2019 in collaboration with Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu.
Over 200 climbers from various districts of the Union Territory of J&K are likely to participate in the competition and the winners of this competition are likely to be selected for participation in the forthcoming North Zone Sport Climbing competition to be organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee during November/December, 2019.
The competitions to be conducted on the 40ft high fiber glass Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall in Sprawling Buds school campus
The competition shall be organized under the overall supervision of General Secretary of Mountaineering Association of J&K Ram Khajuria who is also Secretary Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee, New Delhi. Whereas a pioneer sport climber of J&K, Abhimanyu Sherpa is the Organizing Secretary of the Competition.
Manik Slathia & Shashi Kant Sharma, trained Belayers and Mrityunjay Sharma and Shilpa Charak, both international sport climbers, shall be the Route Setters cum belayers of the competition.
