Jammu, Nov 27: A mega sports event 'Khelo Kashmir', first of its kind being organized in Srinagar after abrogation of Article 370 with the initiative and guidance of BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari, Avinash Rai Khanna, in collaboration with a NGO, Jammu Kashmir Development Foundation and support of the local administration, is getting massive participation of the youth from Valley. This 'Khelo Kashmir' event, was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Stadium on November 26 in presence of Avinash Rai Khanna, former Ministers Sunil Sharma and Rajeev Jasrotia, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Shahid Iqbal and senior officials of police and CRPF.
750 youth are taking part in this three days event which is first sporting event in Valley post abrogation of Article 370 and has evoked impressive response and reflective of the love, craze and inclination of the youth towards sports. Avinash Rai Khanna, while speaking about 'Khelo Kashmir' event, said that participation of 750 youth in an event is a big thing and the organising NGO has indeed done a great service by providing platform to the budding sportsmen of the Valley, who want to hone skills and showcase their talent. Khanna further said that sports activities keep youth fit and away from drug addiction besides inculcating good habit of team work and sportsman spirit, which leads youth towards the direction of NEW INDIA, the slogan of Narendra Modi government. |
