11/28/2019 9:36:56 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 28: Asserting it was only Prime Minister Narendra Modi who gave real freedom to people of J&K from discrimination and under development, President Mahila Morcha, Rajni Sethi said that abrogation of Articles 370, 35-A will bring prosperity and new dawn of development, in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and the abolition of Triple Talaq will ensure dignity and equality to crores of Muslim women.
While addressing to womenfolk in Valley, Rajni said, I am very happy to get the privilege to entre Kashmir after the abrogation of controversial articles and abolition of Triple Talaq.
Evoking that people have witnessed the bad time when the patriots were jailed for chanting Bharat Mata ki Jai and hoisting the National Flag.
Rajni Sethi who was on four days visit to Kashmir to convey and convince the womenfolk about the benefits of the abrogation of 370 and abolition of Triple Talaq said that this is an occasion to salute the remarkable courage of those Muslim Women who have suffered great wrongs just due to the practice of Triple Talaq, adding that the abolition of the practice will contribute to women empowerment and given women the dignity they deserve in our country. She added that Modi Govt is the first Govt. which took a decision on Triple Talaq without thinking of vote bank and appeasement.
She further said that the people of J&K and Ladakh have always been betrayed and deprived of development in the name of Article of 370 by those who ruled the state for the past seven decades.
But now by the abrogation of 'Article 370' PM Narendra Modi has put an end to this injustice she said, adding, "that peace, prosperity and welfare of the J&K is the top most priority" for the PM Narendra Modi.
She alleged that J&K state has received much funds from the Centre in the past, but still there was lack of development and added that this is going to an end now.
She also said that the people are willing to invest and participate in the development process. She said that enough blood is already spilled here, now there is no more scope for bloodshed and we have to concentrate on development.
Hundreds of women and corporators joined BJP fold in presence of State President Mahila Morcha Rajni Sethi who expressed happiness and said, 'I am happy to see women in Kashmir participating in political activities. This will be definitely helpful to them, as BJP govt. has provided them the space to lead their society', she said adding their (women) participation would rescue the Kashmir Valley from the clutches of uncertainty and agony. She hoped that the new comes would work hard and provide their services to party and the society.
These articles instead of doing any good for this area were hindering the growth/development of this region and the women of Kashmir thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take steps to revoke these articles from J&K.
Those who were present on the occasion include State General Secretary Mahila Morcha Shailja Gupta, State Executive Members Mahila Morcha Rashida, Veena Gupta and others.
