Udhampur, Nov 30: Believe it or not but it is a bitter truth that the children whom parents send to schools for taking education are treated like labourers by the concerned teachers.
Such a shameful case came to fore at High School Dhandal in district Udhampur where the students were seen picking leaves and waste wood after the eucalyptus trees were shaved there.
"It is not new in this school as we have many times seen students brooming the floors of the school," a local of the village informed.
Many other locals said that they even saw students moving out of the school to purchase something for the teachers during the hours of their classes.
"The results of this school are always poor as the students were not taught here but are asked to work on useless things which they are not supposed to do," Another Villager said adding that many times they brought the matter to the notice of the concerned officers but nothing was done and the teachers continued using the students as labourers. |
