New Delhi, Dec 2: In a written reply to MP Harnath Singh Yadav in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik said that there were 950 incidents of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jammu and Kashmir region in the last three months (August to October, 2019).
Indian Army has appropriately retaliated to the ceasefire violations whenever required, the minister told the house. The minister added that all violations of ceasefire and infiltration have been taken up with Pakistani authorities at appropriate levels through established mechanism of hotlines, flag meetings, Directorate General of Military Operation-level talks as well as diplomatic channels between the two neighbouring countries. |
