Jammu, Dec 3: A rainbow of colours unfurled on the stage as KV Nagrota celebrated its Annual Day amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation on Tuesday, in the Vidyalaya premises. Brig. A.S Berar (VSM), BGS (Info Sys), HQ16 Corps & Chairman VMC was the esteemed Chief Guest and Col. AK Mohanty, (SM) GS (Edu) and nominee Chairman VMC was Guest of Honour. The occasion was also graced by the other dignitaries, worthy members of VMC, parents and students. After the arrival of Chief Guest, the lighting of ceremonial lamp took place which was followed by recitation of Sanskrit Shlokas, Saraswati Vandhana and welcome song. Didar Singh Chahal, Principal K.V Nagrota welcomed the guests and presented the Annual Report of the vidyalaya and highlighted its achievement in Academic as well as co-curricular activities. Students showcased their talents by means of group song, group dance, Hindi and English skits, , mime & cultural dance performances. The rank holders making their mark in academics and co-curricular competitions were awarded with prizes by the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest appreciated the spirit and confidence of the students and the moral values depicted in the cultural programes. He congratulated the Vidyalya Parivar for excellent Board results and co-curricular achievements and specified the role of parents and teachers in inculcating moral values among the children. |
