Early Times Report
Poonch, Dec 4: People of Sub divisions of Surankote, Mandi Mendhar and Poonch have alleged that they were not getting requisite quito of kerosene oil while as depot holders were up in arms against CAPD department for little supply of the commodity in the district sources said.
"If a depot holder is entitled for 10 barrels of kerosene oil a month he is getting only two instead" said a depot holder in Mendhar adding, 'the supply has been shortened by the authorities as licences of the depot holders were subject to be renewed, and this practice is going on for the last two months he added.
Locals alleged that shortage of kerosene oil has added to our woes because we do not use the commodity only for cooking but also for lighting purposes due to harsh winter weather conditions though depot holders pretend that their licences were getting to be renewed yet the quotoa was supplied to them in full but they sell it in black market, they alleged.
While talking to assistant director food, Ranjit Singh told Early Times that issue of renewing licences of depot holders was little time consuming job yet all efforts have been made by the CAPD Department to look into the needs of common people, he added.
