Black Scorpio of GMC Jammu goes missing?
12/12/2019 10:57:20 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: A Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) belonging to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu has been missing for the last several months and its whereabouts are still unknown as no one in the hospital has an idea that where it has disappeared.
Ideally, the black coloured Scorpio (SUV) vehicle was being used to ferry senior faculty members or senior administrators while attending some official work or engagement in their administrative capacity.
Sources said that it has come to fore that the Black Scorpio of GMC&H Jammu has not been visible in the premises of the institution for the last several months and the staff of the hospital do not know where the vehicle has gone.
If official sources are to be believed, the said vehicle was under the possession of a senior official of the Health and Medical Education Department for his personal use adding that the vehicle was given to the officer by one of the senior ranked officials of the GMC&H Jammu for the reasons privy only to both of them.
Sources further alleged that the fuel used in Scorpio vehicle for some months initially went from GMC&H Jammu's funds. The practice was stopped only when the new Incharge Transport was nominated but he was not able to get the Scorpio back, they added.
Sources raised questions that who is the driver of the vehicle while who is maintaining a logbook of the said vehicle?
However, concerned quarters claimed that the vehicle has been shifted after receiving government order but where the order copy is, no one knows.
