BJP holds awareness meeting on CAA

Jammu, Jan 9: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today organized an awareness meeting on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at Top Sherkhania.
BJP State General Secretary (org.) Ashok Koul interacted and addressed hundreds of people including party activists in Ward 39, Toph Sherkhania hailing from Janipur Mandal in Jammu West Assembly segment.
Koul was also accompanied by Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA), State Vice President BJP Harinder Gupta, District President Munish Khajuria, State Secretaries Arvind Gupta & Praduman singh, Treasurer Prabhat Singh, Mohan Singh Rana, Mandal Presidents Raveesh Mengi & Keshav Chopra.
Addressing the gathering Ashok Koul lambasted the callous approach adopted by Congress and its partners on CAA and he said that they have failed in explaining the people the real perspective behind the law because they themselves haven't read the Act. Koul stressfully said that everybody should make it absolutely clear in their minds that the CAA Act is empowered to give Citizenship only to the religiously persecuted persons to the people who turned up before 31st December 2014 by only giving relaxation in the rules in terms of reducing period of stay from 11 years to 5 years. He asked there is nothing hidden in this Act; and Congress, Communists and their allies are misleading masses. He also prompted the activists to take the message clear and loud to everyone.
Sat Sharma said that today India, has taken gigantic steps for strengthening its security within and outside the borders. He claimed that India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the making of world leader once again, but it seems that the Congress is bewildered by the progress under present regime and is afraid to argue on facts. He stated that Congress leaders must decide their course with in their party that is run on direction of single family unit.
Harinder appealed the participants to reach out masses at polling booth level and help them in understanding the real meaning and things mentioned in the CAA.
Others present were BJYM State Vice President Karan Sharma, Jatinder Singh, Beli Ram Sudan, Abhishek Slathia, ND Bawa, Jai Singh Chib, Sangeeta Verma, shweta Singh, Urvashi Gupta, jyotsna Sharma, Sudesh kumari, Babbu Bawa, Sumanyu Gupta and many others.
