Right To Education was need of an hour and was always discussed by the educationist as many students were deprived of the good education because of non implementation of Right To Education in the Jammu and Kashmir. Under the Right To Education Act private schools during the Kinder garden admission will have to keep their 25 percent seats reserved out of their intake capacity for poor student and Economical Weak Sections. Right To Education was never implemented despite the many voices being raised by people in Jammu and Kashmir. Right To Education became applicable in Jammu and Kashmir on August 31. An official in Education Department told Early Times that Right To Education Act will now definitely pay way for the better education to those poor students who were deprived of education. He added that under the RTE education will reach to every household and moreover more than 20,000 students will get benefit. Another senior official said that all the preparations are done and as soon as the admission process is started things will be cleared and is not like that only one school will have to keep seats vacant open for poor student. Every school be it any private schools they have to follow the procedure. He added that we have always demanded the RTE should be implemented here in the region and in any case private schools do not cooperate than the actions will take as per the procedure. Meanwhile, parents are very happy with the development and are optimistic that the futures of their wards are now bright as they can now study in private schools.
