50 MVA transformer to be installed R/S Draba remains on trolly for 20 days

Poonch, Jan 11: To subside the power curtailment in subdivision Suarnkote a transformer of 50 MVA was made available with the initiatives taken by DDC is yet to be unloaded from a trolley for installation despite lapse of 20 days , sources said here today.
They said a transformer was made available by dist administration to be installed at Receiving station Draba in Surankote Subdisvion was loaded on local tarolly for installtation at 132/33 receiving station Draba where at present two transformers of 20 MVA are installed . They said the contractor who was supposed to transport the said transformer to the installation site but failed to do so due to nonpayment to the trolley owner who halted his vehicle loaded with tarsnfromer in the town for the last 20 day they added. Alleging the pathetic approach of the M&RE wing for power department locals of Draba rued that it was utmost ironical on the part of department that for last twenty days the transformer has not been unloaded form the trolley and installed at receiving station . The pople were already facing shortage of power and if this transformer is not installed there it would have been improved the power supply to the area they maintained .
Social Activsit Akash Malik while urging the authorities said the trolley loaded with transformer be paid its dues and get the transformer installed at receiving station Draba with an immediate effect delaying anymore will further add more woes to the locals he added.
